Revive Us Again
In Psalm 85, we encounter a powerful cry for revival—a desperate plea for God to renew His people. This psalm reveals that revival is born when God’s people look back on His faithfulness, acknowledge His holiness, and recognize their own sinfulness. Revival stirs within a deep desire for God’s presence to move among them once again.
The true mark of revival is that the people of God experience Him deeply and find joy in Him. It’s an awakening where hearts are drawn back to delight in God as their greatest treasure.
But revival doesn’t end there. Its manifestation is seen in lives transformed—believers turn from sin, embrace obedience to God’s word, and walk confidently in His care. There is a renewed expectation of God’s blessing, an assurance that He will guide and provide as they walk in faithfulness. Psalm 85 reminds us that revival is our great need, and God is eager to revive His people when they turn to Him with sincere hearts.
